SERVICE: Telephone Equipment Maintenance

IMPACT: Silcox Center, TD Arena, and 133 Calhoun Street (Physical Plant) will experience a brief interruption in telephone service.

DATE: Tuesday, January 31st

TIME: 12:00 PM

 

OVERVIEW: There will be a brief interruption in telephone service on Tuesday, January 31st, at 12:00 PM, lasting approximately 20 minutes to repair telephone equipment. This outage will affect telephone service in the following buildings:

 

Silcox Center

TD Arena

133 Calhoun St (Physical Plant)

 

External Internet Service Disruption

The College of Charleston’s external internet access is experiencing an unscheduled disruption in service. Information Technology is aware of the situation and working to restore service.

Routine Application Maintenance

SERVICE: Routine Application Maintenance
IMPACT: IT will be performing routine maintenance on the applications listed below.  These applications may experience a brief service disruption during this maintenance window.
DATE: Sunday, March 8, 2015
TIME: 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM

OVERVIEW: IT will be performing preventative maintenance on College applications during the routine second Sunday maintenance window. The applications below may experience a brief service disruption sometime between 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on March 8, 2015.

  • UC4/ Job submission
  • Degreeworks
  • Eprocure
  • Touchnet
  • Axiom
  • StarRez
  • BDMS
  • Resource 25
  • Travel and Expense
  • Luminis (MyCharleston)
  • Workflow
  • Course Review/Blue/Course Evals

Please note: If you plan to use these applications on Sunday, please save your work frequently to minimize any inconvenience. Some application interruptions will be very brief, so if you experience a problem with access, please wait a minute and log in again.

DegreeWorks Service Disruption

The College of Charleston’s DegreeWorks is experiencing an unscheduled intermittent disruption in service. Information Technology is aware of the situation and at this point in time the service has been restored; however, users may still experience intermittent issues.

MyCharleston Service Disruption

Update 8/11/14 at 1:12PM: The College of Charleston’s MyCharleston has been restored and is operating normally. If you should have questions, please contact the IT Helpdesk at 953-3375 or helpdesk@cofc.edu.

8/11/14 at 12:15PM: The College of Charleston’s MyCharleston is experiencing an unscheduled disruption in service.  Information Technology is aware of the situation. In order to restore service, IT will restart MyCharleston starting at 12:45PM today. Users will experience a brief disruption in service.

Alcohol EDU and Haven EDU Service Disruption

Internet and Network Connectivity Maintenance

SERVICE: Internet and Network Connectivity Maintenance
IMPACT: Wired network connectivity in the Addlestone Library and 57 Coming Street will be unavailable during this maintenance window.
DATE: Friday, August 1st, 2014
TIME: 6:30pm – 11:30pm

OVERVIEW: On Friday, August 1st, at 6:30 PM through 11:30 PM, Network Engineering will upgrade equipment that connects the Addlestone Library and 57 Coming Street to the College network.  Wired network connectivity will be unavailable in both the Addlestone Library and 57 Coming Street for the duration of the maintenance window. Wireless connectivity will not be affected.

IMPACT: Wired network connectivity in the Jeremy Warren Vann Teacher Education Center (86 Wentworth Street), School of Education, Health and Human Performance and Wentworth garage will be unavailable during this maintenance window.
DATE: Wednesday, July 30th, 2014
TIME: 7:00pm – 11:30pm

OVERVIEW: On Wednesday, July 30th, at 7:00pm through 11:30pm, Network Engineering will upgrade equipment that connects to the College Network in the the following buildings:

  • Jeremy Warren Vann Teacher Education Center
  • School of Education, Health and Human Performance
  • Wentworth garage

Wired network connectivity will be unavailable for the duration of the maintenance window. Wireless connectivity will not be affected.

IMPACT: Wired and wireless network connectivity at Dixie Plantation, Patriot’s Point, Grice Marine Lab, the Marine Resource Library and the North Campus will be unavailable during this maintenance window.

DATE: Thursday, July 24, 2014

TIME: 7:00PM ­to 8:30PM

OVERVIEW: On Thursday, July 24, at 7:00 PM through 8:30 PM, Network Engineering will conduct maintenance on network equipment that connects Dixie Plantation, Patriot’s Point, Grice Marine Lab, the Marine Resource Library and the North Campus to the College network and the Internet. Wired and wireless network and Internet connectivity in the affected areas will be unavailable during the maintenance window.

Self Service Banner Update

Access to Banner Self Service has been restored. To repair the problem that caused the initial service disruption, IT will restart one of our systems at noon today.  This restart may cause a brief disruption of service to the following applications:
