Overview: On Friday August 18, 2017 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, IT will perform maintenance to Cognos to fix an issue with the scheduler. The Cognos reporting tool will be unavailable during this maintenance window.

MyCharleston Maintenance

Overview: On Friday July 21, 2017 from 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM, IT will perform maintenance to MyCharleston. MyCharleston will be unavailable during this maintenance window.

OVERVIEW: Information Technology will need to preform emergency maintenance on a fileshare server tomorrow morning, Wednesday, April 12 beginning at 6:00am, that will result in OAKS course content being unavailable for just a few minutes.  All service should be restored by 6:05am.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

VPN Maintenance

IMPACT: Internal and External VPN access will be unavailable throughout the identified maintenance window.

DATE: Tuesday, April 11, 2017

TIME: 12:00PM to 1:00PM

 

OVERVIEW: On Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM, Network Engineering will conduct maintenance on equipment that supports the internal and external VPN. During this time, internal and external VPN access will be unavailable.

MyCharleston Maintenance – 3/8/17

TIME: 10:00 PM – 12:00 AM

 

Overview: On Wednesday March 8, 2017 from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM, IT will perform emergency maintenance to MyCharleston to fix an issue with Google Chrome. MyCharleston will be unavailable during this maintenance window.

Recent updates to Google’s Chrome browser (versions 55 & 56) are causing issues with MyCharleston not loading properly.

Emergency Maintenance for CofC-Guest Wireless

IMPACT: Wireless network access for CofC-guest will be unavailable
DATE: Thursday, August 27th
TIME: 8:30PM to 10:30PM

OVERVIEW: On Thursday, August 27th at 8:30PM through 10:30PM, Network Engineering will perform emergency maintenance on the Guest network to resolve an issue with the servers that control internet access for users connected to CofC-Guest. Wireless network access for CofC-Guest will be unavailable during this maintenance window. As a reminder for any students, faculty or staff of the College, please connect to CofC-Secure for wireless access.

MyCharleston Service Disruption

Updated 8/24/15 at 12:00pm: The College of Charleston’s MyCharleston has been restored and is operating normally. If you should have questions, please contact the IT Helpdesk at 953-3375 or helpdesk@cofc.edu.
