Apis Mercantile: Seeks Intern (Summer 2020)

Position Description:  (This is a paid internship.) Apis Mercantile, a honey and body care company based in James Island, is looking for a passionate and motivated student for a one of a kind internship program. We are a small company so we just ask that you respect our time and work to the best of your ability!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Schedule posts on all social media platforms
  • Research social media and marketing analytics
  • Collaborate with team members on relevant projects and tasks
  • Create visual content libraries (i.e images, animated gifs, etc.) that support the brand
  • Brainstorm ideas for an enhanced presence
  • Lead generation and input into a CRM system
  • Write newsletters and send email blasts to customers
  • Help at events for hands on sales experience

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Experience with social media
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of social media advertising and platform analytics tools
  • Experience with scheduling software
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Resourceful self-starter who takes initiative in projects and goes the extra mile!
  • *Experience filming or editing video is a plus

Qualifications:

  • Must be a rising senior
  • Interns must be able to commit to a schedule of 10-20 hours/week

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting pay of $9.00 an hour, plus college credit. Please check with your academic department to see if this is eligible for credit.
