I hope all is well. My church hosted Vacation Bible School last week. My job was to write down the names of children who came and give them name tags. My friend Rosalia helped. I’ve included a picture. She was born in Argentina but lived here in the United States for many years. She was excited because Argentina’s soccer team had a chance to win the World Cup. We watched the final game on a computer while we waited for children to arrive. It was exciting! Rosalia was sad when Germany won in overtime, but she was proud of her home country’s team.

During Bible School, my class read a book about how God wants us to be responsible with money. One of my favorite stories is about when Jesus saw a poor woman give away her last two coins. Jesus said she was more generous than any of the rich people who gave more, because she gave all she had (Luke 21:1-8).

In your last letter, you asked about vacations. I also like to go to the beach on vacation. I like to walk on the sand, swim, and collect sea shells. When I was a boy, my father and I would walk on the beach and collect shells. My favorite kind of shell is the lettered olive. I don’t think this kind of snail lives in El Salvador, so I’ve included a picture.

Have a good summer,
