Professor Carrillo-Arciniega attended the 16 Annual Conference of Contemporary Mexican Literature at the University of Texas at El Paso, where he presented his paper “Identidades de resistencia y el simulacro de ser mexicano: Juan Villoro y sus culpables” on March 4, 2011.
Chapter Nu Zeta of the College of Charleston’s Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, inducted Honduran Ambassador Jorge Ramón Hernández-Alcerro into the Order of the Discoverers during his Excellency’s address to the CofC community on February 28, 2011.
