Meet Us!

Dr. Courtney Howard is a graduate of Florida A&M University and the University of Florida. She is a science educator with experience in public schools, community centers, and science museum outreach programs. Courtney has been a teacher education faculty member at Baldwin-Wallace College (OH) and Claflin University (SC). She has held multiple administrative roles, including NCATE coordinator and interim dean.  Courtney joined the College of Charleston in 2011 as the Director of the Center for Partnerships to Improve Education. In that capacity she seeks to establish and maintain partnerships that support faculty endeavors, involve EHHP students, and ultimately offer benefits to the students in the communities we serve.

Rachel Etchason is a graduate of Georgia State University and College of Charleston. She is a certified Early Childhood and Elementary educator. She received her M.Ed, Teaching, Learning, Advocacy from College of Charleston in 2013. Rachel worked as a graduate assistant in The Center for Partnerships to Improve Education(CPIE) while in school. She is the Program/Event Coordinator for the School of Education, Health, and Human Performance and Project Assistant for CPIE. Rachel strives to create opportunities for future educators in the School of Education, Health, and Human Performance as well as advocate for all students in the communities we serve.
