Dear International Studies Students,

 Welcome back for the 2012-2013 academic year.  In just two years the INTL major has become one of the larger majors at the College and is continuing to grow!   With almost 170 of you now, spread out in five Concentrations and not many opportunities to get to know one another, I thought we would start off the year with a special get together and reception.  You will get to meet each other, our International Studies faculty – especially our new faculty – and learn about some of the things we have in store for the major as it develops.  We are counting on you to help us develop the program in a way that meets your needs and aspirations for international experiences and careers. 

Please join us on September 12 between 4 and 5 pm at the Glebe Garden behind the President’s house (across the street from our offices on 9 Street). 

We will have an induction for Sigma Iota Rho and a reception for all of you.

This year we have inaugurated the International Scholars Program which is a joint program with the Honors College.
