Chinedu Nwadiugwu: “A Bro Speaks at Lacarosse Practice” by Ian Moore (posted via Prof. R.)

Poem is really interesting. It puts you in the sense of how a lacrosse play talks like. He talks Ebonics, and Ian politely defined various Ebonic vocabulary so the reader can understand on the right hand side of the poem. From the flow of the poem, the narrator is talking to the audience. With the introduction, chiming in and out, and switching subjects you can tell he talking to the audience. I think it was cool how he would yell towards the mystery third character Jeremy for the ball. Basically a lacrosse player is laid back, smooth and chill and smokes marijuana.
