Theatre Reprises “Equus” for Kennedy Center Competition

The School of the Arts’ Theatre Department is reviving its 2010 production of Equus so that it may present the play during the upcoming Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival Region IV annual conference.  An invitation to present a production during this conference is an honor of which only six institutions (out of more than 200 in the region) can boast this year.

Please join us at 8:00 p.m., on Monday, January 31 for a final dress rehearsal of Equus.  The performance will be in the Emmett Robinson Theatre in the Simons Center for the Arts, 54 Saint Philip St.  There is no admission charge for the dress rehearsal, but audience contributions from that night will support the Theatre Department’s travel and production expenses for the conference production. The play contains both nudity and very mature subject matter.

Please join us in congratulating the faculty and students on the receipt of this honor.
