It’s amazing how a hurricane can affect a community and change the landscape forever. 20 years ago Hurricane Hugo, a category 5 storm, touched land just north of Charleston at a speed of over 130 mi/hr and an accompanying storm surge of over 15 ft. Recently, the Post & Courier ran a retrospective on this historical event.
