2013-14 Alternative Break Trip Leader Applications Available!

Alt Break - general

Applications for the trip leader role are due by noon on Friday, August 23rd.

Applications may be submitted in-person through the Center for Civic Engagement, Lightsey 203.

Alt Break Logo - SpringOver Spring Break, College of Charleston students will be traveling to national and international sites to participate in community service. Over the next few weeks, students will be hosting events at local businesses to help fund their trips.

Please support these trips by attending these fundraisers and enjoying a delicious meal! A portion of all dinner proceeds will go towards ASB trips.

Monday, February 4th: ASB Guatemala Fundraiser at Five Loaves Café (43 Cannon Street) from 5:00pm-9:30pm.

Wednesday, February 6th: ASB Biloxi Fundraiser at Boone’s (365 King Street) from 5:00pm-11:00pm.

**Please inform Boone’s staff that you are attending for Alternative Spring Break—Biloxi.

Saturday, February 9th: ASB Asheville Fundraiser at Butcher and Bee (654 King Street) from 5:30pm-9:30pm.

Alternative Winter Break

Join us on our Alternative Winter Break Trip to take part in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts in New Jersey: January 2nd-7th.

Hurricane Sandy caused severe devastation in the Northeastern United States. In Coastal New Jersey, bridges have been washed away, buildings have burned after a natural gas line exploded, and homes have been destroyed. There is an estimated total of $50 billion in losses, with $30 billion in property damages alone.
