Minor

To earn a Minor in Southern Studies, students complete 18 hours of coursework. Find us on the C of C website here.

3 Credit Hours: Interpreting Southern Cultures, SOST 200 (HONS 172) or Interpreting Southern Literature and Cultures, SOST 241 

15 credit hours of approved coursework (See list below). No more than 9 credit hours in a single discipline; at least 6 credit hours must be at the 300-level or above

Southern Studies Capstone (0-3 Credit Hours) Showcase all you’re learning about the South by revisiting and reimagining a project from an earlier course. If you wish, you can earn credit for this project as a tutorial or independent study that counts toward your elective hours. Go here to find out more.
