Dr. Christine Finnan to Discuss Study Abroad Class in India

Dr. Christine Finnan, Professor of Teacher Education and Anthropology at the College of Charleston, will deliver the Department of Sociology and Anthropology’s Aprill brown bag talk titled, “Study Abroad Experience: Childhoods in India.” Her talk will take place on Monday, April 4th at 12 p.m. in Education Center, room 116 on the College of Charleston campus.

Dr. Finnan just recently returned from India where she was exploring the possibility of developing a study abroad experience there for College of Charleston students in summer 2012. In her presentation, Dr. Finnan will talk about the steps she has taken as a faculty member planning the study abroad class as well as an overview of the possible experiences students will have as they examine childhood experiences in urban and rural India.
