Forgot Your Password? Need Help Resetting Your Password?

I DON’T KNOW MY PASSWORD AND WANT TO RESET IT

There are 3 options

Use Self-Service Password Reset
You must have already registered your account for Self-Service Password Reset before you will be able to use this feature. If you have registered the account,

  1. Go to password.cofc.edu
  2. Click Reset Your Password
  3. Use the methods you set up at the time of registration to reset the password

MyCharleston Security Questions*

    1. From the MyCharleston login page, click the “Forgot Password?” link
    2. Enter your username, and click Submit
    3. Two of the eight security questions will appear. Enter the Answers exactly as you did when you set up your MyCharleston account, then click Submit Answers.
    4. If the answers are entered correctly, you will be able to change your password.

You will need to provide the following to verify your identity when contacting the IT Service Desk:

  1. Your full name on record
  2. Your CWID (Visit the Login Assistance page to locate your CWID)
  3. Your date of birth
  4. The last 4 digits of your SSN (International Students who do not have a social security number will need to supply their SEVIS instead)
