Michael Faikes is a senior at The College from Irmo, South Carolina, studying economics and computer science. He is currently serving as Student Body President for the 2016-2017 Academic Year. Prior to serving as Student Body President, Michael has served as Student Body Vice President, Student Body Treasurer, and as a Senator. As President, he is hoping to use his prior experiences in different roles to bring a well-rounded perspective to all facets of Student Government operations. Last year as Vice President, Michael was instrumental in the restructuring of the committee system and is excited to continue to tweak it until it reaches its highest potential. For the year, Michael has goals to finish the Academic Forgiveness plan that he worked on with other SGA members and to accurately represent student concerns, questions, and suggestions to administration.
