Economics Professor Featured as Casinos Expert on National NPR Program

Doug Walker, Ph.D., and associate professor of economics in the School of Business, is a recognized expert on the economics of casinos in the U.S.  On April 17, he participated in the nationally syndicated On Point NPR program to share his views on casino economics, an important political issue in a growing number of states that face continued fiscal crises and look to gaming revenue to offset diminishing state revenue.

Listen to Dr. Walker’s recorded interview with the program host and dialogue with call-in listeners.

On Point is carried by 229 stations nationwide including five in South Carolina, with a weekly audience of 1.2 million.
