Alumni Answer the Call and Earn $25,000 for the School of Business

The $25K Alumni Challenge began on November 18, 2010 when an anonymous Board of Governors member offered to make a $25,000 gift to the School of Business if the School’s alumni could raise an additional $25,000 in new gifts by December 31, 2010.  Over the final five weeks of the year, our alumni answered the Challenger’s call in a resounding fashion.  The following results were achieved through the Challenge:

  • 67 alumni responded to the Challenge and collectively contributed $40,395.24 in new gifts to the School of Business
  • Several of these alumni donors initiated matching gift pledges from their employers totaling $10,657
  • A grand total of $76,045.24 was raised in support of the School of Business, including the anonymous donor’s $25,000 gift.

“When you consider the impact that this will have on our students and programs, you can see why I am so encouraged about the future of our School,” says Alan T. Shao, Dean of the School of Business.  “This is a remarkable showing of support for our School, and I am grateful to everyone who made it possible.”
