The Center for Public Choice & Market Process Hosts Another Successful Adam Smith Week

The Center for Public Choice & Market Process hosted a success-filled 16th Annual Adam Smith Week (ASW) March 18th – 21st. This year’s ASW revolved around a theme of Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE).

The week kicked off with an opening reception at Alumni Memorial Hall. Acting CPM Director Jordan Ragusa, CPM Director Peter Calcagno, and CofC President Andrew T. Hsu were on hand to welcome speakers, administrators, faculty, students, and guests.

Events included talks by Dr. Michael Munger, Director of the Duke University PPE Program; Dr. David Schmidtz, West Virginia University Professor and Presidential Chair of Moral Science; Dr. Bart Wilson, Chapman University Professor of Economics and author of “The Property Species; as well as a screening of Acton Institute’s “The Hong Konger.”

The Acton Institute and The Bastiat Society of Charleston joined the Departments of Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics as ASW sponsors.
