TEDU

In August 2015, TEDU adjuncts were invited to participate in a 2-day workshop that covered topics particularly relevant to adjuncts in this department.

OAKS training topics introduced communication tools to sue when adjuncts teach off campus or come on campus less often than regular faculty; the session included a lab in which participants could begin setting up these tools in their OAKS courses.

Other presentations covered departmental policies and expectations for all TEDU courses

Other highlights:

a presentation by an adjunct faculty member with years of teaching experience in HEHP

–a session on adjunct faculty evaluations led by the department chair.

–scheduled time for faculty to “meet and greet”–important for faculty whose schedules don’t always overlap with each other or with office administrators and senior faculty
