CofC: Seeking Associate Director of Digital Marketing

Salary$41,777 – $54,000*

Position DescriptionUnder limited supervision of the Senior Director of Digital Marketing, works on complex and comprehensive digital marketing initiatives that result in a creative, modern, sophisticated, intuitive and accessible customer-focused user experience across the College of Charleston website and other digital platforms that support the strategic recruitment and retention goals of the university. Helps plan and execute digital marketing campaigns. Ensures that the visual presentation and content of websites and digital communications reflect and enhance the overall marketing messages and marketing goals of the College. Assists the Senior Director of Digital Marketing in providing creative and technical guidance and oversight for departments who are managing sites internally.

Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree and three years of progressively responsible and relevant professional experience related to website design, and the development, production and dissemination of digital marketing experiences. Experience with, knowledge of, and demonstrated mastery of all phases of the creative process of web and digital communication design, development and production. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products, HTML, CSS, WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the most up-to-date programs, techniques and current trends in digital marketing. Experience working with clients on projects from concept to completion.  Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Demonstrated understanding of modern marketing concepts and digital marketing practices, and the ability to translate these into effective websites and digital communications and advertising campaigns. Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines. Ability to discuss technical details and work with Web programmers/engineers regarding issues such as coding techniques. Ability to work well with others in a team environment and under deadline pressure. Must be able to work independently under limited supervision.

Note:  *Salary is commensurate with education/experience which exceeds the minimum requirements.
