Update: Banner INB issues for some users

Issues with the use of Firefox accessing Banner INB have been resolved for the majority of the reported problems—both PCs and Macs. Some Macs using an operating system version 10.5 and below may still experience problems. If you are a Banner INB user and still unable to access INB via MyCharleston, please contact the HelpDesk to discuss options.

Tuesday June 5, 10:30 PM – 2:00 AM

 

Starting on June 5, 2012 between 10:30 PM and June 6, 2012 2:00 AM,  Network Engineering will conduct maintenance on the hardware connecting the College to the BATTERY network and the Juniper VPN.  During this time network connectivity to and from the BATTERY network, including the MyCharleston (http://my.cofc.edu) web portal, the main College webpage (www.cofc.edu), Banner Finance, HR/PY, Admissions, AR, Student, Financial Aid, Banner Self Service Finance, Employee, and Academic Services, Cognos, ePrint, Banner Relationship Management (BRM), eProcurement, GradesFirst, MAP-Works, UC4, BDMS,  POSM, DegreeWorks, StarRez, WorkFlow, Touchnet, Oaks, Academy1, Echo360, Explorance, and Axiom as well internal and external VPN will be intermittent. This outage does not affect network connectivity to and from the College and the Internet.

 

Note:  Other networking outages planned for this summer include the weekend of July 20, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. for a campus Internet upgrade.  Details regarding this outage will be sent at a later date.

We are currently experiencing connectivity issues to eProcure, MAP-Works, and GradesFirst following the upgrade last night. Information Technology is aware of the issue and working to resolve it as quickly as possible. Additional information will be sent as soon as it becomes available.

OAKS Planned System Maintenance on May 10

OAKS will have an interruption to normal services on Thursday May 10, 2012 starting at 8 am for planned system maintenance. We expect the system to be unavailable most of the day.

Please plan to not use OAKS during this time period. We will send another notification when the system maintenance is complete.

IT Outage Notification for Janaury 12, 2012 4:45 PM

We are experiencing technical difficulties with the FS1 file server. Users will be unable to access files located in their Department folder until the problem is resolved.  At this time we anticipate access will be restored in approximately three hours.   We will send additional information as soon as it becomes available.

Outage Notification for Monday, December 19

Network Engineering will be upgrading hardware that connects the J.C. Long Building , Liberty Street Fresh Food Company, and 284 King to the Campus network on Monday, December 19th, 2011 between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM. During this time wired and wireless network connectivity will be intermittent.

Unscheduled IT Outage for FS2 (Updated)

Access to the FS2 server has been restored. Technicians are continuing to monitor the system for further issues.  All users with folders/files located on FS2 should now be able to access that information. Thank you very much for your understanding during the unscheduled outage, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

 

Previously

We are experiencing technical difficulties with the FS2 server. Some users will be unable to access files located on their U:/ drive until the problem is resolved. At this time we do not have an estimated resolution time. We will send additional information as soon as it becomes available.

The following applications will have an interruption (less than 1 hour but could be longer) to normal services on Sunday, November 13, 2011 sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for planned system maintenance:
