Classroom Software Requests

Prior to the beginning of each semester at the College, Information Technology (IT) updates academic-related software applications on the computers in classrooms, computer labs, meeting rooms, and the Library Student Computing Center.  This service is designed to support the changing instructional needs of the faculty.

Classroom/Lab Standard Software

You can view a list of the standard software that is installed on each computer in College classrooms and computer labs at If you need software that is not listed in the standard image installed on a computer, please request the software through an online form at Please note that your department is responsible for all licenses and software purchases.

To assure adequate time to install software for the beginning of each semester, please submit requests by the following dates:

What can you expect?

  1. Our process of re-imaging or updating software applications each semester requires that the computer be “wiped clean” of existing data. If you wish to keep any files on the computer please back them up.
  2. When you request software to be installed please provide additional information such as license information, websites with the download link, CDs, etc.
  3. Please keep in mind that some software may not be able to be installed due to incompatibility issues with the operating systems or other software that is already installed on the computers.  If this is the situation, we will work with you and the vendors for possible solutions.
