WebCT is being decommissioned on May 14th, 2011. Faculty will no longer have access to WebCT on May 14th. The College’s new learning management system is OAKS. If you haven’t already made the transition or if you’d like to start using OAKS, you can start learning now!
If you like to learn OAKS at your own pace and on your own schedule, you can watch the video tutorials! Watching the video tutorials allow you to choose specific topics that relate to a tool. You have the capability to fast forward, pause or rewind during the videos. Some video tutorials even cover the tools more in depth than in the face-to-face training sessions.
You can access the videos by following the steps below:
- Login to my.cofc.edu
- Click the OAKS icon in the upper right hand corner
- On the My Home page within OAKS, scroll down until you see the My Courses Widget
- Click the Student Tab
- Click OAKS Training
- Once inside the course, click the Content Link on the course navigation bar
- Click on the video
When learning OAKS you can practice in your development course. When you login to OAKS, in the Instructor tab you will see a development course. This allows you to practice and create activities within the tools. At the end of the semester, you can easily copy the content and activities that you have created to your live courses.
