Learn how we can design our communities to promote active living for healthy citizens

The Faculty Lecture Series, a collaboration between the Friends of the Library and the Honors College, will examine whether our communities are designed to promote the type of active living that supports physical, social, and emotional health.

When: Wednesday, October 19 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. in Addlestone Library room 227.

The lecture: Dr. Morgan Hughey, Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance and Honors Faculty Fellow will describe how neighborhood environments are recognized as a fundamental determinant of health.

  • Go deeper: Dr. Hughey will explore two of her ongoing projects focused on access to parks and green spaces, and biking/walking for transportation.
