Cougar Refugee Alliance is now working to recruit tutors for refugee children in the Charleston area.

Cougar Refugee Alliance works together with the local resettlement agency (Lutheran Services Carolinas) along with the College’s Taskforce on Refugee Resettlement to assist local refugees in many aspects.

Last year Cougar Refugee Alliance helped resettle over 80 Afghan refugees in the Charleston area. Cougar Refugee Alliance is continuing to receive refugees weekly from Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Ukraine.
