The Office of Institutional Diversity (RSS, 2nd floor) is inviting all Honors to attend an effective climate change campaigning strategies workshop on Friday, April 22nd from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.

The workshop will be led by Clayton Thomas-Muller, a First Nations activist from Canada and a member of the Treaty #6 based Mathias Colomb Cree Nation, also known as Pukatawagan, located in Northern Manitoba.  Clayton runs all campaigns for 350.org in Canada, is a member of the Indigenous Environmental Network, and is active in Idle No More.

The workshop will cover concrete steps to challenge Settler Colonialisms, advocate for intersectional climate justice, and strategize effective ways to raise awareness on issues, build coalitions, and apply strategic political pressure to bring about tangible results.

Space is limited to the first 20 students to sign up. A plant-based lunch and opportunity to workshop and dialogue with Clayton will be provided to all students attending.
