The Center for Student Learning (CSL) is hiring! The CSL is looking for hard-working, responsible, and energetic students to join their team for the fall semester (employment begins mid-August). The CSL is hiring peer tutors, Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders, front desk assistants, and peer academic coaches.
The Center for Student Learning employs over 130 tutors each year in various subject areas. Tutors receive extensive training from the Center staff and other campus professionals in these topics: communication strategies, skills for working with diverse populations, and methods of becoming a peer role model.
The Center for Student Learning covers tutoring in the following drop-in and by-appointment labs:
- Business Lab
- Foreign Languages Lab
- Math Lab
- Writing Lab
- Science Lab
- Computer Science Lab
- Social Science Lab
- Speaking Lab
- Philosophy/Logic
- Linguistics
