Position Description:
Are you passionate about creating stunning data visualizations? Want to bolster your resume with data science experience in business setting? The Office of Enrollment Information at the College of Charleston is seeking a Data Visualization Specialist to lead and contribute to the creation of Tableau dashboards. The successful candidate will work with personnel within the Division of University Marketing and Enrollment Planning and Information Technology to create high quality dashboards and analytics for College stakeholders and administrators. Expected hours: 10-15 hours/week during business hours, flexible according to class schedule
Compensation: $15+/hour
Candidate qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with Excel and Tableau required.Experience with Tableau Prep Builder, Salesforce.com, and SQL desired (but not required).
- Experience with large dataset management and statistical programming (in R, Python, SAS, or similar) desired (but not required).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and without complete, explicit instructions. Willingness to self-teach.
- Works and communicates well with other members of a team.
- Capacity to maintain a predictable office work schedule.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Discretion to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
