With the Republican primary schedule in full swing, now is a good time to prepare for the November presidential election. This is not a post supporting a specific candidate or platform, rather it is a call to be as engaged in the political process as possible. Starting this spring, Student PIRGs (Public Interest Research Groups) will host their non-partisan youth voter mobilization program, and they need your help.
Student PIRGs is collecting applications for its Voter Turn Out Activism Internships. As an intern, you will encourage young citizens to register to vote and help them get to the polls on November 6. The deadline to apply for the last spring session is Monday, March 19. Please contact Field Organizer, Vanessa Wright, with any questions you may have about this opportunity. She can be reached at email@example.com.
