“A penny saved is a penny earned.” Benjamin Franklin

Travel is a huge part of my job.  So when I realized yesterday that my tires were not legal or safe to drive on, I headed straight for my neighborhood tire dealer.  Anyone who has ever had to buy a set of tires knows it’s not a small expense by any means.  Fortunately, it just happened to be “Friends and Family” night at the store, which meant I got 10% off my final bill – equal to how much it would have cost for an alignment.

I can’t tell you how excited I was to have the fortune of being at the right place at the right time.  Every little penny you can save in this economy is worth it.  That’s why The Graduate School of the College of Charleston is offering incentives for working professionals in the Lowcountry to go back to school.  Within the next week, we will officially announce an initiative in which new applicants can save between $45 and $1,000 on their graduate education.

We value our friends, and will tell them first about this initiative before we officially announce it to the public.  If you want to hear about it first, join our mailing list.
