- Myra Seaman continues to edit Postmedieval, bringing four more issues to print in 2018 on the following topics: Premodern Plants; Queer Manuscripts; Medieval Intersex: Language and Hermaphroditism; and What a World! The first issue of 2019 is Prophetic Futures, an issue guest co-edited by CofC English alum Joseph Bowling (‘10), who earned his PhD at CUNY and is now an Associate Lecturer in English at the University of Wisconsin
- Anthony Varallo’s story, “Fair Enough,” won 3rd place in the River Styx 2019 Micro-Fiction Contest, and will be published in River Styx in the fall
