Question:  What does the “R” mean when it appears before my grade in Degree Works (example:  RB or RA)?

Answer:  An “R” or an “X” indicates a repeated course.  Here is a guide to the repeat course symbols in Degree Works:

  • (R) Repeat Include GPA: Grade will be calculated into total GPA (not averaged with prior grade), but student will not receive earned hours for this course.
  • (X) Repeat Exclude Hours, GPA: Grade will not be calculated into GPA nor will earned hours, quality hours, or quality points be awarded.
