CIE Scholarships

The CIE offer numerous scholarships to help students address financial barriers to study abroad. In addition to the many scholarships available through the CIE, we also support students applying for nationally competitive scholarships such as the Gilman, Boren and Freeman-ASIA. Beyond the CIE scholarships, financial assistance is also available through select CofC departments, affiliate providers, and external organizations. CIE Peer Advisor Applications Open – Deadline March 13!

CIE’s Peer Advisor internship program gives a platform for past study abroad participants to promote the College’s study abroad opportunities and share their relevant experiences with interested peers.Peer Advisors work with the CIE staff on a variety of projects, including outreach events and marketing; they also assist future study abroad participants with research, selection, application and pre-departure stages. Applications are now being accepted for the 2021-2022 Cougar Ambassador Program. This peer mentorship opportunity gives current CofC students the opportunity to assist the Center for International Education in welcoming new international students to our campus and supporting them as they transition to life in the United States.
