Sport Club Captain Highlights: Brittany Andrysczyk, Gymnastics

Brittany Andrysczyk
Junior, Elementary Education
Irmo, SC

How did you get involved with the gymnastics club at the CofC?
“In my high school day, I competed in the USA Gymnastics. I was able to travel to Long Beach, California in the spring of my junior year to compete at the level 10 Junior Olympic Nationals. After an injury in my senior year, I had to quit. When I found out about the club here I knew I had to join!”

What have you learned from gymnastics?
“You are never too old to do gymnastics. It is a lot of fun and a great way to get or stay in shape…

It is extremely rewarding when athletes get new skills or accomplish something they were not able to do they day before.”

Club Intensity
“For some members, the club is a fun social event where you meet new people and jump on the trampoline. For others, we train more seriously and are working to compete against other club teams…

We want everyone to come and try out gymnastics. It is a great way to meet new people and try some new skills. If you have done gymnastics before you can practice some old skills.”
