About the Running Club
“The running club can be as intense as you make it. Each run is different and we all push ourselves differently. We have easy runs, medium, and hard. It all depends on what the group wants to do that day… Even if you don’t think you are a great runner it doesn’t matter. We are in this to have fun! Running shouldn’t have to be something you make yourself do.

…We are more than just a team, we are a family.”

Club Accomplishments
“Last fall we had two runners finish in the top 3 of the Beta beach 5k. At the James Island Connector Run we had multiple runners win their age groups for the 5k and 10k event. Others placed in the top 3 of their age group and three of our runners qualified to run the Cooper River Bridge Run in the Competitive Group. Last Spring the team competed in the Cooper River Bridge Run where everyone ran well and a few were in the top 5% of finishers. The team also participated in CofC’s Dance Marathon, which benefits MUSC’s Children’s Hospital, and raised over $600. We have started fall 2014 off to a good start as well! Two of our runners completed the Francis Marion Dirt Dash (half marathon) and both won their age group! Overall our team has accomplished so much and we plan to this year as well!”

Best Team Memory
“Last spring about six of us decided to run the Cooper River Bridge and whenever we passed someone running/walking or a bicycle we made choo-choo train noises. It was the funniest thing ever.”

Practice Times
Meetings are every Tuesday at 7pm in Maybank 210.  (You will receive the running schedule once you sign the waiver.)
