First Year Experience Abroad

Posted by: Erin Blevins | February 16, 2016 | No Comment |

First Year Experience (FYE) Abroad was created under the model of Develop / Experience / Reflect in 2013. It encourages first year students to enjoy the benefits of study abroad learning in a short time frame and encourages students to make plans early to undertake a more extensive study abroad experience later in their college career. Opportunities for our freshmen class are boundless! In the past few years over 200 first year students have chosen to spend their Spring Break internationally.

Below are the experiences taking place this Spring Break 2016:

  • UK Soccer Experience (Course Directors: Bruce Fleming, Cam Saleeby, and Jimmie Foster)
  • Paris Up Close (Course Director: Bill Olejniczak)
  • Hemingway in Cuba (Course Director, Kay Smith)
  • International Health and Neuroscience in Copenhagen (Course Director: Chris Korey)
  • No (S)pain, No Gain: Hiking the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain (Course Director: Lisa Signori)
