iCharleston (iCHS) is a unique and innovative first-year international bridge program providing College of Charleston first-year students to grow as individuals, develop an affinity for the College of Charleston, and actively engage in a high-impact educational experience within a supportive community emphasizing global citizenry. This collaborative project between the Office for the Academic Experience and the Office of Admissions saw an immense growth from year one (2014) to year two (2015).

The success of the program can be attributed to the outstanding work by three College of Charleston alumni who served as Site Directors – Jordan John (KELOWNA), Chris Pennebaker (LONDON), and Samantha Piergross (DUBLIN) as well as our strong partnerships in the three iCHS locations. 55 students matriculated on campus in Spring 2016 after being abroad for iCharleston in these three locations during Fall 2015.
