Founded in 2008 at the American Literature Association Conference in San Francisco, the Kurt Vonnegut Society is a group of scholars, teachers, and readers dedicated to the academic study of Vonnegut, his life, and works.

In addition to providing scholarly resources and a forum for the exchange of information, we also plan two academic panels each year at the American Literature Association Conference, where we also hold our annual business meeting.  The next ALA Conference will be May 23-27, 2019 in Boston.

In addition, we frequently co-sponsor panels at other conferences including the annual NeMLA (Northeastern MLA) and SAMLA (South Atlantic MLA) conventions, among others.

If you have information regarding Kurt Vonnegut-related scholarship or activities, we’d love to hear from you.
