PDFescape is a free, web-based application that allows users to edit, annotate, and share PDFs. Without creating an account, you can upload a PDF (up to 10 MB or 100 pages); edit and/or annotate it (with tools very similar to Acrobat’s); and download or print it. To share a read-only copy of your PDF, via a link, you have to register. Registering also enables you to store up to 10 PDFs online. Like most free applications, PDFescape is subsidized through advertising; however, there is only one banner ad (on the right)—not too bad for a solid Acrobat replacement.
