Need a work space to develop new instructional materials for your courses? Do you need special software that you don’t have on your office computer?
CHECK OUT THE FTC!
The Faculty Technology Center (FTC) located in JC Long Room 317, provides a technology resource facility where faculty can access specialized equipment and software and can obtain assistance from an Instructional Technologist. This facility is a valuable resource for faculty who wish to apply innovative technologies to their teaching strategies, assessment practices, and research endeavors.
Walk-in Access is available for faculty who can function independently in the Center.
Assistance is available by appointment - Please call or email your Instructional Technologist to make an appointment.
FTC Equipment:
- Convert slides into digital images using the Nikon Slide Scanner
- Scan and modify documents (to PDF and to Microsoft Word) using the HP Scanjet Scanner
- Scan images using the HP Scanjet Scanner
- Copy up to 7 CDs at one time with the 7 drive CD-ROM copier
- Capture and convert DVD/VHS to digital format with our 3 digital video capture/editing stations
