The College Reads! is the College of Charleston common reading program. The idea of a common reading program started at the College of Charleston in 2002 and was previously known as the convocation reading.
In 2009, a committee of faculty and staff determined that it was important to have the book and importance of literacy go beyond convocation and The College Reads! program was created.
