Beaufort High School’s Gingerbread Theater Proudly Presents
The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet
by Peter Bloedel
June 11 & 12 at 6pm and 13 at 3pm at the Sottile Theatre
The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet is a funny whimsical play combining Dr. Seuss’s “The Sneetches” with the storyline of Romeo and Juliet. This hour comedy is full of rhyming words, funny bits and a surprise ending. The lesson behind the play is for little ones to learn to judge people by their behavior not by what they wear on their bellies. This show is fun for the ENTIRE family.
About Beaufort High School’s Gingerbread Theater
Beaufort High offers a children’s theater series to support family date night and children’s creativity. Our motto is “a family can have dinner, a show , and the kids are in bed by 8”. They often perform shows for donations to the Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA). This year they perform for CAPA and donated money to a local community member who was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. The money was donated to a trust fund for his 5 children. The Theater department is excited for this wonderful opportunity to perform at Piccolo Spoleto and we are looking forward to entertaining you.
