BarCampCHS: Opportunity for Artists

logo.png

BarCamp is the ad-hoc, user-generated un-conference where attendees determine what will be presented. Sessions, discussions, demos, and interaction occur from everyone attending, not a pre-selected panel of speakers. Past topics are listed here and vary from PodCasting 101 to Developing Photos in a Digital Darkroom to Homebrew 201: Making Better Beer. BarCamp Charleston provides local area techies, developers, designers, and entrepreneurs with an open environment for learning and sharing, yet there is a growing desire for more artists to attend. In fact, there will be an art room where artists may sell or display their work. For more information, contact BarCamp.

Here are more details on how the day goes and how to prepare if you want to pitch a topic.

BarCamp Charleston 4 will take place on Saturday, November 10th from 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m. at the College of Charleston, in the Robert Scott Small Building (across from the Starbucks closest to campus on Calhoun St.).

The day will conclude with an After-Party at Mynt Charleston. To help foster collaboration between attendees, the after-party will include a speed networking event hosted by The Lowcountry Business Network.

Register today. Tickets are only $10, which includes lots of free goodies as well as lunch (You’ll be given a $7 Off-Campus Meal Plan card that is valid at various restaurants near campus.). Attendance is limited.
