As a full-time adjunct instructor for the sociology program at the College of Charleston, Reba Parker has encouraged hundreds of students to view the world through a sociological lens. Over the last two years, Parker has opened a new door for students in her Sociology of Peace class. Through Parker’s guidance, students bring the curriculum to life by engaging in community projects that demonstrate how peaceful collaboration offers solutions to systemic community problems.
