Student Involvement
The Student Involvement Committee exists to encourage all 10,000 members of the student body to participate in the Student Government Association. We advocate the presence of non-senators at weekly Senate meetings and support the voice of the students.
The duties of this committee include:
- keeping the morale high within SGA
- encouraging attendance at Senate meetings
- communicating and informing the students about the ongoings of SGA
- collaboarting with other student organizations to plan events on campus, mainly with a philanthropic purpose
In the past Student Involvement has held a Meet the President luncheon, sponsored Charleston’s Got Talent and Darfur Week, collected items for the school-wide clothing drive GiveStrong, painted King Street store windows for Homecoming week, and numerous other activities.
We would love to have your input and participation in our committee through serving as a committee member or emailing us with your suggestions. We look forward to a great year these upcoming Fall and Spring semesters.
