The College of Charleston Student Government Association sends its deepest sympathies to the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill community upon the murder of their Student Body President, Eve Carson, on March 5, 2008. The police believe this shooting to be a random act.
“It’s times like this that test us,” UNC-Chapel Hill Chancellor James Moeser said. “Let us be the University that Eve Carson envisioned. Let us show the Carolina Way that she lived, that she talked about.” (Daily Tar Heel). A vigil for Carson will be held at 7pm on March 6 in the Pit on the UNC campus.
