Thursday @ 3 @ Addlestone Class
The excellent folks in the Library (like Jarey Seay and Sarah Davis) are running informational sessions for Faculty and Staff at the college to talk about technology topics to help with instruction.
They have a wiki for today’s session: http://thurs3.pbwiki.com/NetCulture
Today focused mostly on Del.icio.us (now delicious.com)
Jerry Spiller led the session; his bookmarks are on http://delicious.com/thurs3
So what’s so great?
How about keeping all of your browser bookmarks in one central place that works anywhere in the world? All you need is the Delicious add-in for Internet Explorer or Firefox. Then you can import your bookmarks/favorites from the browser into Delicious and be able to use them from any other computer.
You can “tag” your bookmarks eith lots of different subjects. In IE, you can only store a link in one folder. But, if you like folders, you can “bundle” them.
