Unofficial transcripts may be viewed by students through MyCharleston free of charge.  Unofficial transcripts do not include the College seal, official signature of the Registrar, or issue date.  Visit for more information.

Official transcripts are available using our online ordering system with Credentials Solutions/Parchment.  Transcripts may be mailed or sent electronically (when available).  The cost for a transcript that is mailed or sent electronically is $10.  Additional charges apply for FedEx and international orders. 

Current and former students should use the Credentials Solutions/Parchment ordering service available through MyCharleston to authenticate and avoid completing a Signature Authorization Form.

Alumni who do not have a current MyCharleston account may order directly with Credentials Solutions/Parchment.

This post contains important information about the privacy of your education records.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), as amended, is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. In accordance with regulations issued under FERPA, the College of Charleston provides an annual notification to our enrolled students of their rights under FERPA; as well as an explanation of the exceptions under FERPA that allow the College to disclose information from the student’s education record without consent.

REMINDER:  January 19, 2021 is the last day for drop/add for full semester courses.  Dropping a course after this deadline results in a withdrawal “W” from the course.  A “W” is not a grade. A “W” indicates that a course was started but not completed.

Help! I have a registration hold!

If you have a registration hold on your account, you will not be able to register for courses until this hold is cleared.  Only the department who placed the hold can remove the hold from your account.  Visit for a list of registration hold types and contacts.

Spring 2021 Types of Course Delivery

The College’s “Back on the Bricks” plan specifies the types of course delivery for the Spring 2021 schedule. Please visit for helpful definitions.

Just a quick reminder that the last day to withdraw “W” from full semester courses is Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 11:59 pm (EST).  Students may withdraw from a course in Banner Self Service in MyCharleston (which opens at 8:00 am (EST) each day).  Instructions for withdrawing can be found on the Help and Training tab in MyCharleston on the Office of the Registrar Student Resources channel.

For all course withdrawals, you will receive an email confirmation to your college-issued email account from the email address  Your instructor will also receive a copy.

A withdrawal “W” is not a grade. A “W” indicates that a course was started but not completed.  If you are unsure about withdrawing from a course, please consult with your instructor and/or advisor.

Students should make sure to resolve any registration holds on their record prior to the last day to withdraw.  A hold can prevent you from being able to withdraw from a class.  To find out if you have a hold, login to MyCharleston.  Click on the Academic Services tab and look for the Registration Tools channel.  Click on Registration status.  Only the department who placed the hold can remove the hold from your account.   Visit this webpage for more information on hold types:
