Between the Harvest Documentary Viewing and Panel Discussion
5pm, New Science Center
This short documentary about turtle egg harvesting in Ostional, Costa Rica is objectively told through the eyes of the local people and delves into the controversy of natural resource use, conservation, and sustainability. Afterward, join Director Scott Drucker; Carlos Mario Orrego Vasquez, Lead Biologist and Director of Ostional Wildlife Refuge; Megan Westmeyer, Sustainable Seafood Initiative Coordinator at the South Carolina Aquarium and Annette Watson, Ph.D. Political Science, Assistant Professor, College of Charleston for a Q&A discussion.

What you throw away disappears, right? Think again. Explore this issue and get a visual as APE members sort through one night’s trash to show you what we could have recycled.

Sustainability Celebration and Gus Speth Discussion
