Spring 2012 Meal Plan Reminder!

The end of the fall semester is quickly approaching! Just a reminder from Dining Services about spring 2012 meal plans.

The last day for students to change their meal plan for the spring semester is January 13th by 5 pm and may do so in the Dining Services Office located in Craig Hall. Please do not change your meal plan via the MyCharleston portal.

Spring Meal Plans begin on Wednesday, January 4th at dinner.

All students who have signed up for a Spring 2012 Meal Plan now through December 15th will be entered to win an Amazon Kindle! Students can sign up for a meal plan through their MyCharleston portal or stop into the Dining Services Office located in Craig Hall. (PLEASE NOTE: First year Freshmen students have already signed up for a spring meal plan through their housing application. If they would like to change their plan, students must stop into the Dining Services Office located in Craig Hall to fill out a change request form by January 13th, 2012.)

Students can choose from:

21 Meals Per Week = $1600 per semester

15 Meals Per Week + $100 Dining Dollars = $1600 per semester

10 Meals Per Week + $175 Dining Dollars = $1600 per semester

200 Block Plan + $50 Dining Dollars = $1600 per semester

175 Block Plan + $100 Dining Dollars = $1600 per semester

100 Block Plan + $175 Dining Dollars = $1025 per semester

50 Block Plan + $50 Dining Dollars = $495 per semester

30 Block Plan + $300 Dining Dollars = $550 per semester

Dining Dollars Plan ($300 Dining Dollars) = $300 per semester

*** First year Freshmen can choose from any of the first 5 meal plans***

(PLEASE NOTE: First year Freshmen students have already signed up for a spring meal plan through their housing application. If they would like to change their plan, students must stop into the Dining Services Office located in Craig Hall to fill out a change request form by January 13th, 2012.)

Meal Swipes can be used at both our all-you-care-to-eat dining locations – Liberty Street Fresh Food Company, located in Liberty Residence Hall and City Bistro, located in Berry Residence Hall. Dining Dollars can be used at any of our other on-campus dining locations, including Chick-fil-a, Java City, Einstein Bros Bagels and more!

Meals per Week Plans give an allotted amount of meals that are to be used during that week period (meal weeks run from Saturdays until Fridays). You can find the best value in our Meals per Week Plan! The 21 Meals Per Week Plan averages out to be $4.61 for an all-you-care-to-eat meal! You can’t beat that deal anywhere else!  Block Plans are a bit more flexible for those who have a busy schedule – you are given a set number of meals that can be used anytime during the semester.

Dining Dollars are an on-campus currency that can be used to make food and beverage purchases at any of our on-campus dining locations and are maintained through your Cougar Card. Dining Dollars roll over from semester to semester until you graduate and can be added anytime online or in the Dining Services Office.

Just a reminder: First year Freshmen students living on campus are required to have a College of Charleston Meal Plan regardless of credit hours for both fall and spring semester.
